As sneaker-lovers and skate enthusiasts, we felt like paying hommage to Santa Cruz, with a “Screaming Hand” inspired, raw and rough photoshoot.

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last couple decades, Santa Cruz is an iconic California-based company specialized in skateboards decks and wheels.
The first heavily influencing skateboarding company, Santa Cruz instantly made itself easily recognizable thanks to the bold, original and colorful artwork of Jim Phillips, who first designed the logo of the brand in 1973, and in 1985 what would probably become its most famous design and the most tattooed skateboarding design : the Screaming Hand.
Au cas où vous auriez vécu sous une roche ces dernières décennies, Santa Cruz est une compagnie californienne icônique, spécialisée dans les planches et roues de skateboard.
Première compagnie de skateboard à posséder une influence extrêmement importante, Santa Cruz s’est immédiatement rendue reconnaissable grâce à l’art original, coloré et audacieux de Jim Phillips. Après avoir conçu le logo de la marque en 1973, il a créé en 1985 ce qui allait probablement devenir à la fois le symbole le plus célèbre de la marque et le design de skateboard le plus tatoué : la Screaming Hand.
Over the years, the Screaming Hand was made into decks, stickers, toys, and even redesigned in special occasions. In 2008, Puma added to the long list of Screaming Hand inspired gear, with a shirt and a brilliant pair of very limited edition First Rounds.
Keeping the same color story as the iconic design, those teal kicks feature thick black detailing willing to inspire hand lines, the Screaming Hand logo on the back, and a red embroidered “Santa Cruz” inscription on the tongue.

Au fil du temps, la Screaming Hand a été déclinée en planches, en autocollants, en toys, et même redessinée pour certaines occasions. En 2008, Puma a ajouté à la longue liste d’accessoires inspirés par la Screaming Hand un T.shirt et une superbe paire de First Rounds, en édition limitée.
Basées sur la même gamme de couleurs que leur célèbre inspiration, ces kicks turquoises présentent d’épais motifs noirs destinés à rappeler les lignes de la main, le logo Screaming Hand à l’arrière, et l’inscription “Santa Cruz” brodée en rouge sur la languette.
